On Thursday, March 19, 2026, AAPB and ILSR’s Community Broadband Networks Initiative hosted the next entry in our joint webinar series: “High-Density, High Impact: Connecting Apartment Buildings, Public Housing & Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs).”

If you want to connect a community, you cannot just think street by street. You have to think floor by floor, building by building.

MDUs can be one of the fastest ways to move the needle on digital equity, but the last mile is often inside the building. We dug into the real barriers, including access challenges, exclusive incumbent arrangements, wiring and equipment constraints, and bulk billing pitfalls. This session was built for practitioners, with an operator-level focus on what works, what breaks, and what local leaders can do next.

We were joined by DigitalC's Joshua Edmonds, Revinternet's Brendan Kelly, and HR&A Advisors' Anna Read, followed by moderated discussion and audience Q&A on open access, BEAD strategy, and building access negotiations.
